TIRTLs are installed at Heavy Vehicle Checking Stations (HVCS) to provide an accurate, reliable & low maintenance solution for the detection and tracking of heavy vehicles (HV) in the screening lane.

TIRTL1 triggers the acquisition camera.

TIRTL2 determines the direction of each vehicle.

TIRTL3 locks state of GS to avoid unsafe driver behaviour.

TIRTL4 unlocks GS for the next HV.

HARE tracks HVs, logs all sensor events and interfaces with HVCS system.
